Events vs Objects and Mapping Knowledge (Red)

One of the most interesting things about this talk is the reframing of what study is. So instead of studying objects, we are mapping our attitudes to what we know of events:

This study (from my online class in infectious disease epidemiology) compared computer models of strategies for reducing pertussis cases and deaths. I'm thinking Angelina & I should both get boosters this summer. The CDC's guide on the subject isn't the easiest thing to read, but it seems to support the idea.

I'm such a sap, the Lopez video made me tear up.

Also, I just want to say that I feel that The Media are doing a very negative thing by splashing the racist ravings of a murderous bigot across the news sites. I don't want to look at that $^!t when I'm trying to scan the news. The guy tried to shoot up the holocaust museum for racist reasons, I get it. Repeating the ignorant crap he wrote and told people just perpetuates negativity and gives attention to a point of view that actual citizens abhor. Journalists have a civic responsibility to do better.
